DESCRIPTION

Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre (Hudson, FL) is seeking two professional electric guitarists for the onstage band in our upcoming production of the Broadway hit Rock of Ages.

This high-energy musical features the iconic arena-rock music of Journey, Bon Jovi, Styx, Poison, Whitesnake, Pat Benatar, and more, and requires guitarists who can authentically perform the powerful lead and rhythm guitar styles of the 1980s.

Seeking strong electric guitarists with excellent rock technique and stage presence.

• Must be an excellent lead electric guitarist capable of executing 1980s-style rock and metal solos

• Ability to play both lead and rhythm guitar parts with precision and strong rock tone

• Music must be fully memorized prior to performances (no music stands)

• Guitarists will perform onstage and visible to the audience throughout the entire show

• Comfortable performing as part of the Bourbon Room house band within the staging of the production

• Strong stage presence and comfort performing in a theatrical environment

• Prior rock band or live performance experience strongly preferred

• Gender and Ethnicity: All genders and Ethnicities

Applicants should be comfortable performing music in the style of classic arena rock artists such as:
Journey • Bon Jovi • Def Leppard • Poison • Whitesnake • REO Speedwagon • Twisted Sister

The ability to convincingly perform iconic riffs and guitar solos with an authentic arena-rock tone is essential.
