Boomerang Theatre Company, an award-winning nonprofit Off-Off Broadway company now in its 27th season, seeks a Props Coordinator for our upcoming free outdoor production of The Taming of the Shrew, performing weekends from June 20 – July 19, 2026 on the lawn near 69th Street and Central Park West.

The Props Coordinator will oversee the sourcing, tracking, maintenance, and daily management of all props for this outdoor production. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, collaborative theatre artist who enjoys creative problem-solving and working in a fast-paced, resourceful environment.

Because this is an outdoor production, the role requires flexibility, durability-minded planning, and an understanding of how props function in an open, public space.

Responsibilities
-Collaborate with the Director and Production Team to develop and execute the props list
-Source, purchase, borrow, or build props within budget constraints
-Track all props using an organized inventory system
-Ensure all props are rehearsal-ready by designated deadlines
-Ensure props are weather-appropriate, durable, and safe for outdoor use

Schedule
-Pre-Production / Sourcing: May – early June (flexible hours)
-Rehearsals Begin: Early June 2026 (evenings/weekends, as scheduled)
-Performances: Saturdays & Sundays, June 20 – July 19 at 2:00 PM
-Some additional weekday availability may be required for prep and coordination

Fee
-$800–$1,200, commensurate with experience
