About Us:
Cody Lassen & Associates is a dynamic theatre, film, and music production company dedicated to bringing innovative and compelling stories to the stage and screen.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, resourceful, and tech-savvy Producing Associate to join our team on a part-time basis. This fast-paced position requires excellent writing skills, in-depth knowledge of the commercial theatre industry and its key players, and the ability to think on your feet. The Producing Associate will play a crucial role in investor relations, CRM management, and supporting various aspects of our producing efforts across theatre, film, and music.

This is an opportunity to take part in all stages of producing, from early development through production and post-production. The Producing Associate will also be involved in the company's work across the industry, including its engagement with The Broadway League, The Recording Academy, and other organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investor Relations: Keep investors informed through weekly press updates, correspondence, and reporting. Track investor documents and plan in person and virtual events. Manage document deal flow system (PandaDoc.)
  • CRM Management: Maintain and organize the company's CRM system (Nutshell) to ensure accurate records and streamlined communications, with a laser-like focus on details.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, reports, and production-related documents. Managing the project management system (Asana.)
  • Event Coordination: Manage guest lists and invitations for special events, fulfill House Seat requests, and support planning and execution.
  • Social Media Management: Utilize platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for promotional purposes.
  • Production Assistance: Support producing efforts during pre-production, rehearsals, and performances.
  • Research & Industry Insights: Conduct research on upcoming projects and industry trends.
  • Daily Operations: Coordinate and run errands across NYC to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of tasks. Help maintain and organize office systems, files, and production materials.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings, offering input and taking notes. Manage communications with vendors, artists, and other collaborators as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Skills & Experience:

    • Exceptional writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • A voracious appetite for learning and a passion for the performing arts.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of the commercial theatre industry and its key players.
    • Proficiency with office software suites, including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Workplace. Knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.
    • Above-average software skills and the ability to quickly master new tools.
    • Experience with social media platforms and promotional strategies.
  • Attitude & Personality:

    • Organized, upbeat, and resourceful.
    • A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to take initiative.
    • Passionate about learning the art of producing and supporting creative endeavors.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time position with flexible hours; some evening or weekend availability may be required based on production schedules.
  • Primarily remote-based with occasional attendance at meetings, rehearsals, performances, or events as needed. If you prefer to work in person, you are welcome to do so (we're located near Times Square.)
