AGENT ASSISTANT

Agent at a Boutique Theatrical and Music Agency specializing in the representation of playwrights, composers, lyricists, directors, choreographers, and designers for Broadway, Off-Broadway, opera, as well as some film and television seeks a well-rounded Part- Time Administrative Assistant with at least two years’ work experience. This is an ideal position for someone with prior experience in the business side of theatre.

General office responsibilities include: All administrative and support tasks, with access to negotiations, contracts, and client services, including but not limited to:

  • Administrative task support - creation and management of spreadsheets for client projects (incoming deals, contracts closed, offers made, submissions, potential clients, etc…) consistent tracking, weekly updates, etc..
  • Coordination and scheduling of meetings and phone calls.
  • Calendar management.
  • Money tracking and processing.
  • Invoicing and payment follow up.
  • Client support/interfacing.
  • Script and show coverage.
  • Assistance with contract negotiations, redlining and execution.
  • Talent scouting
  • Digital file organization, research, etc..
  • House seats, comp requests


Candidate Requirements:

  • Knowledge and interest in the theatre industry
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Adobe, Excel, Canva and internet research)
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • The ability to multi-task
  • The ability to conduct business under occasional stressful circumstances.
  • Must be able to prioritize and shift focus as priorities change.
  • Collaborative spirit with a team mentality.
  • Must have a sense of humor, and a willingness to approach any task with a positive attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively as an individual.
  • College degree is required.
