Local Singles, a new musical is seeking NON-UNION Musicians for its Off-Broadway debut after several productions around the country.

The show opens on January 9th, 2025 and runs for 5 weeks, 5 shows a week. Closing performance is on Sunday, February 9th. Performance times are: Thursday evening at 7pm, Friday evening at 7pm, Saturday matinee at 2pm and evening at 7pm, and Sunday matinee at 2pm.

The show features an upbeat, contemporary pop-rock / piano-rock score.

Pay is $50 a show. $50x25 shows = $1,250.

Synopsis:

Come on down to Local Singles- the YMCA's finest support group for lonely people. Through break-ups, crushes, a pregnancy, pure insanity, and THREE twists along the way, Local Singles, a new musical by Nick Navari, will make you laugh and break your heart, but you'll walk away with a song stuck in your head, knowing that love still exists, no matter how complicated it can be. A small cast and band come together to create a comedic, heart-felt, vibrant show with a strong female lead which tells a story that champions platonic love, a rare subject, but one so relatable to any audience.

Local Singles was awarded a grant for a full production through the National Endowment for the Arts as a part of the Pittsburgh Community Supported Artist Performance Series, where it won 5 BroadwayWorld Awards off of 16 nominations. The script has made the Coverfly RedList and currently sits as the 12th best Musical Stage Play project of all time.
