Treasure Trunk Theatre (located in Brooklyn, NY) is seeking both lead and assistant birthday party teaching artists to join our talented, enthusiastic, and inspiring roster of instructors. We're looking for individuals with extensive experience leading engaging, interactive birthday celebrations for our young guests.
As a birthday party teaching artist, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-energy, imaginative birthday party programming that sparks children's creativity and curiosity
- Leading arts and crafts activities, interactive storytelling, dramatic play, and other hands-on party games
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care throughout the party
- Adapting quickly and creatively to the needs and energy levels of each unique group of party attendees
To succeed in this role, you must:
- Have significant experience working with children ages 0-10 in a birthday party, camp, classroom, or other childcare setting
- Have experience working high-energy events for children or other applicable event experience
- Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative teaching team
- Display confidence, playfulness, and a genuine love of working with young kids
- Be available to work on weekends, when most of our birthday parties take place
Treasure Trunk Theatre provides all the necessary party curriculum and materials. No lesson planning is required on your part - just bring your energy, creativity, and passion to make children's birthday celebrations truly magical!
Pay rate: Pay varies from $30-$65/hour depending on the length of the party.
