The Yale Dramatic Association is looking to hire a Director for our 2026 Fall Mainstage Musical. The Director will work closely with a team of professional and student designers and a team of student technical leads to foster a supportive learning environment. The show will run for four performances from November 12-14, 2026 in the University Theater which is a 640-seat venue on the campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. While we have already selected a show (which we cannot reveal publicly due to rights restrictions), directors will be involved in the processes of designer hiring and casting.
The salary for the Director is $6,000. Auditions and rehearsals will take place beginning the week of August 30th. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until Saturday, March 21st. Those interested in applying should submit a current directing resume as well as a 1 page cover letter containing a bit of information about yourself/your background, why you’re interested in working with students, and any other information you’d like to include.
