ABOUT THE POSITION

With a reputation as one of Broadway’s crown jewels, the Hudson Theatre is home to exciting, high-profile programming that attracts leading producers, companies, and creative teams. The Customer Experience Director (CED) plays a critical role in fostering and sustaining strong relationships with General Managers, Company & Stage Managers, producers, and internal partners—ensuring every interaction reflects the Hudson’s standard of excellence. As a key ambassador for the theatre, this position is instrumental in upholding and advancing the Hudson’s standing as a premier Broadway destination.

As a CED, you are an enthusiastic, relationship-driven communicator who supports the management team across administrative responsibilities, performance management, and daily operational needs. Working closely with the Deputy General Manager and General Manager, you’ll gain hands-on exposure to all facets of Theatre Management while contributing meaningfully to the theatre’s success.

This role is a core member of the front-of-house leadership team, serving as Manager on Duty during performances and ensuring a seamless, welcoming, and guest-focused experience for every audience. In addition, the CED curates and oversees Food & Beverage hospitality programs, providing hands-on support to deliver exceptional experiences for guests, partners, and productions.

CEDs also play an important role in strengthening team connection, supporting clear communication, and contributing to a positive, energized workplace culture. This position helps create moments that celebrate wins, foster collaboration, and boost morale—while supporting the operational heartbeat of the theatre. You’ll be part of a high-energy, detail-oriented team that keeps the Hudson and the hit shows within it running seamlessly, inside a collaborative, respectful, and mission-driven company.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

· Experience as a team leader in a customer service or hospitality environment

· Food & Beverage knowledge or experience is a plus

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus

· Proven ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously

· Effective problem-solving skills with proactive time and priority management

COMPETENCIES

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

· Intermediate Excel skills preferred

· Previous experience in theatre or live event management a plus

· Experience working with HRIS systems a plus (UKG experience a major plus)

· Knowledge of Broadway operations and union relations a plus
