DESCRIPTION
The Pekoe Group is an award-winning, fast-paced, full service advertising agency in NYC, working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.
We are currently seeking a COPYWRITING INTERN to join our team this summer.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong command of the English language and grammar. Must also be interested in advertising strategy and creative, in the context of discovering big ideas that get results. We are looking for passion, creativity and willingness to learn.
Internship responsibilities may include:
- Generating print, online, email blast, and radio advertising copy
- Generating commercial and promotional video scripts
- Learning the ins-and-outs of a Broadway advertising agency
Internship qualifications:
- You are detail-oriented
- You are a word wizard with a strong command of grammar and spelling
- Your best friend is a thesaurus
- You are a self-starter and work well in a fast-paced environment
- You are witty and playful. A great sense of humor is key in our office.
- You are thick skinned and able to take criticism
- You stay informed on current events and pop culture
- You are passionate about the world of theatre and the performing arts
SCHEDULE: 3 days per week in office. This is a 3-month (12-week) internship.
COMPENSATION: $17.00 per hour
