DESCRIPTION

The NYU Box Office at the NYU Skirball Center seeks freelance Box Office Specialists for its Fall and Spring Season.

Please note that the NYU Box Office uses Tessitura exclusively, so proficiency and experience with this software is a requirement.


Responsibilities include:

– Assisting in overseeing the daily operations of the NYU Box Office and its cashier staff.

– Providing administrative support in the daily management of the box office

– Providing efficient, quality service to the University and community clients.

– Assisting in supervising and training the student staff, and oversight of the overall condition of box office equipment and facilities.

– Collaborating with the Box Office Manager and Ticket Service Specialist to build events in Tessitura.

– Assisting in the oversight of the Tessitura hosting environment, using SQL to create reports, database cleanup of constituent records, and general maintenance of the Tessitura ticketing system.

– Executing special projects as assigned by the Box Office Manager and Ticket Services Specialist.

– Managing show calls at both the permanent, satellite and pop up locations around New York University.

– Handling patron needs quickly and in a personable manner.

– Preparing and executing will call and ticket sales for event

– Troubleshooting any ticketing, hardware or software issues that may arise.


The successful candidate should have leadership and superior people skills and the ability to work unsupervised solving problems quickly and accurately under pressure. Must be available nights and weekends.

SALARY

$27.00 – $29.00 per hour
