Position Summary:

Atlantic Theater Company, the award-winning Off-Broadway theater and NAST-accredited Acting School, seeks part-time Audience Services Representatives to serve as the primary point of contact for audiences of Atlantic. In this customer service role, you will process ticket orders, assist with membership inquiries, and field a variety of questions from our audiences. An ideal candidate will possess great communication skills, the ability to listen and resolve inquiries satisfactorily, be detail oriented, present a positive attitude, and have a passion for the performing arts. This position requires a flexible work schedule that may include weekends and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities:

•Ensure all Atlantic audiences receive relevant, personalized, and positive attention.

•Answer inbound phone calls to assist customers purchasing/exchanging tickets or calling to resolve an individual issue. This may include managing challenging situations professionally with a focus on prompt resolution.

•Make outbound calls pitching memberships, soliciting donations, and conducting other campaigns facilitated by Atlantic.

•Assist customers with inquiries regarding their orders, exchanges, refunds, accessibility, theater information, and any performance related details.

•Communicate with customers virtually via email and a Live Chat website feature.

•Maintain a detailed knowledge of Atlantic’s programming, sales techniques, policies, and customer service standards.

•Help process and track third-party ticket orders, complimentary ticket requests, and fulfill House Seat requests.

•Occasionally work on-site at Atlantic’s theaters as requested to distribute tickets and help facilitate pre-show duties to ensure a welcoming experience for our audiences.

•Additional duties as assigned.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

•Previous experience in a customer service or clerical position is required.

•Knowledge of Spektrix and/or other ticketing system is preferred.

•House managing or ushering experience is a plus.

•Comfortability and flexibility within a fast-paced environment.

•The ability to work independently and be self-motivated.

•A team player who can cooperate with other departments on shared tasks.

•A fundamental understanding of office technology such as Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, desktop computers, and printers.

•A passion for and experience with the performing arts is preferred.

This is a part-time and in-person position with approximately 10–20 hours per week Monday-Friday during the hours of 10am-6pm. A weekend shift or other modifications may be requested as needed. Hours are subject to change in relation to Atlantic’s seasonal needs. Applicants must be regularly available for schedules set on a monthly basis. Pay rate is $20.00 an hour and Atlantic employees are paid weekly.
