The Pekoe Group is a New York advertising agency working with the city's top Broadway shows, Off-Broadway shows, and restaurants.
The Accounts Receivable Manager manages the cash influx and collects payment from clients, helping to process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The Accounts Receivable Manager will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping the agency on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing weekly client invoices that cover media costs, expenses, agency fees, and design time
- Gathering and verifying appropriate documentation for back-up for every client invoice
- Sending weekly client invoices on a set schedule with payment terms as agreed upon with the client
- Sending payment reminders
- Creating cash flow documents for all clients
- Monitoring and collecting accounts receivable by contacting clients via email and phone
- Maintaining accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Preparing A/R reports for the executive team to have a clear understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Consistent communication with Accounts Payable & Media teams
What we are looking for:
- Experience in Accounts Receivable
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Experience in a receivables role within an advertising agency is preferred
- Familiarity with advertising media plans
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management and detail orientation
- Proficiency with Google Drive
- Ability to keep company and client confidences
Hours
This is a full-time position, Monday–Friday, 10am-6pm
