About the job

After a recent successful run at Philly Fringe, I’m bringing my solo show, How I Learned (NOT) To Drive, directed by Padraic Lillis, to NYC Fringe in April 2026. I’m looking for an Associate Producer who will not only help with logistics, but who will become a true creative partner. I’m ideally looking for someone in New York / tri-state area who has experience producing arts events, such as, but not limited to:

• Solo shows,

• Plays,

• Reading series,

• Productions at other Fringe festivals,

• Comedy shows.

It's important to me that working on this show be fun; theater is too hard for us not to be enjoying what we’re doing.

Show schedule

How I Learned (NOT) To Drive is scheduled at Under St. Marks on the following dates and times:

• Friday, April 10, 2026 at 8:10 PM

• Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM

• Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 3:40 PM

• Friday, April 17, 2026 at 9:50 PM

• Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 8:40 PM

Responsibilities

• Help with group pre-sales

• Help get press coverage for the show. The show has a solid track record with press. I need help with thinking creatively and strategically to get the word out.

• Track ticket sales

• Help create and manage social media for the show

• Oversee other production details as needed to help me focus on performing the show

• Other duties as agreed upon

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experienced in project management

• Experienced in arts promotion in the NYC area

Estimated time commitment

About 5 hours a week from January-March. During the NYC Fringe, I may ask for 10 hours a week during the festival. Follow ups to be done through email and (as needed) weekly 30 minute calls. You should be available during the following show dates to provide assistance as needed:

• April 10-12

• April 17-18

Compensation

$1,500.
