DESCRIPTION
Little Island is seeking a temporary Assistant Producer to join the Artistic Programming team. The Assistant Producer will be directly supervised by the Producer and work closely with the General Management team, providing essential onsite, administrative, and logistical support for our 2026 programming season. This role supports the full producing lifecycle – from planning through closing – ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with artistic goals. The Assistant Producer collaborates across the organization to ensure successful project execution and create a positive experience for a wide range of artists and creative teams in a unique and dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate is a confident and collaborative problem-solver with strong project management skills and the ability to effectively anticipate needs. They are adept at determining when to address issues independently and when to seek further guidance. About the Role
• Weekly Rate: $1,350
• Job Type: Temporary
• Employment Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
• Schedule Expectations: The schedule will include regular late nights, holidays, and weekend shifts. Regular six-day work weeks will be required during peak periods.
• Work Environment: Onsite job with work taking place in both the headquarters office and at the park.

What You’ll Do
• Assist Producer in executing all prep and onsite phases of assigned projects, from conception through final performance, including advance planning, artist coordination, rehearsals, technical runs, and live event execution.
• Execute assigned components of producing plan, providing updates to the Producer on progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Support Producer and other members of the Artistic Programming department with administrative tasks, including developing programming materials, managing communications, administering departmental systems (such as Airtable and Propared), updating schedules and timelines, processing invoices, tracking expense, and maintaining both departmental and project-specific archives.
• Serve as a liaison and critical on-site partner for artists and internal and external stakeholders throughout all project phases, establishing trust and effective communication to ensure that performances are delivered with a high standard of care and artistic quality.
• Assist General Management with onboarding coordination, payment processing, and artist hospitality as needed, ensuring timely follow-through on contracts, payments, and logistical details.
• Support Producing and General Management teams in the collaboration with Marketing and Communications to compile, copy-edit, and approve programs, press releases, and marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual requirements.
• Schedule, coordinate, and support meetings as needed, drafting agendas, circulating minutes, and following up on action items.
• Support Producer in tracking of project correspondence, outreach and key deliverables, maintaining organized and up-to-date documentation.
• Work with other Artistic Programming Department team members on the maintenance of department processes and procedures.
• Other duties and tasks related to the park and its operations as assigned by the Producer.
What You Bring
• 3+ years of arts-related administrative experience.
• Experience supporting artists and industry professionals throughout the prep and execution of artistic events.
• Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the changing circumstances associated with live performance, such as artist needs and inclement weather.
• Keen attention to detail in receiving information from multiple sources, prioritizing tasks, and disseminating data to relevant parties.
• Strong communication skills with a wide range of individuals both within and outside the organization, facilitating project progress in support of institutional and artistic goals.
• Genuine interest in contributing to a culture of camaraderie and excellence by collaborating and problem-solving across departments.
• Passion for engaging with visitors and guests, ensuring they feel welcome and have the information they need for a memorable experience.
• Comfort sitting or standing for long periods.
• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions, including light rain, summer heat, and in intermittent direct sunlight.
