DESCRIPTION

Shrek On Tour, LLC is seeking an Assistant Carpenter to join the North American bus & truck Tour of Shrek The Musical. Theatrical touring experience is required. Reporting to the Head Carpenter and Company Manager, the Assistant Carp is responsible for assistating in the production's overall installation, operation, and load out, along with supporting and maintaining the tour's technical standards, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities:

· Directly oversee local crews during load ins and load outs.

· Oversee truck packs for all departments and assist Head Carpenter in creating truck pack updates when needed.

· Run of Show duties as assigned.

· Work with the Head Carp and Stage Manager to ensure Producer vision is obtained.

· Other duties as assigned by the Producers or General Manager within the scope of your skill set.

Qualifications:

· Two or more years of experience in a Theatrical Carpenter or similar role.

· One or more years of theatrical touring experience.

· Must hold a current passport and have no international travel restrictions.

· Familiarity and working knowledge of standard touring practices.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment and demonstrated sound judgment when issues must be escalated.

Details:

· Rate is $1200 per week plus per diem.

· Position to start 10/30 with travel to tour

· Contract ends 12/30
