Hot on the heels of receiving four Tony Award nominations, Kiss Me, Kate continued to heat things up on the Rockefeller Center Plaza by bringing a Cole Porter standard to The Today Show.
In the video below, the cast performs “Too Darn Hot,” featuring James T. Lane as Paul and Corbin Bleu as Bill Calhoun.
The Roundabout Theatre Company revival, scheduled through June 30 at Studio 54, is up for Best Revival of a Musical, as well as Best Orchestrations for Larry Hochman, Best Choreography for Warren Carlyle, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical for star Kelli O’Hara.

“It never gets old, never,” O’Hara, who plays Lilli Vanessi and—in the show-within-a-show—Katharine, said as she received the news of her nod live on the Plaza. “We bring it back to pay homage to that beautiful Cole Porter score, but we’ve made some changes. You do revivals so that you can update them a little and make them for today.”
