John Riddle (Frozen) and Marina Pires (How to Dance in Ohio) currently co-star as, respectively, George and Dot, in the Glimmerglass Festival's production of Sunday in the Park With George, which continues through August 17 in Cooperstown, New York.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine is directed by Ethan Heard with set design by John Conklin, costume design by Beth Goldenberg, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker, movement direction by Madison Hertel, projections design by Greg Emetaz, sound design by Joel Morain, and hair and makeup design by Tom Watson.

Inspired by Georges Seurat's painting “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte,” Sunday in the Park With George opened on Broadway, starring Mandy Patinkin and Bernadette Peters, in 1984, subsequently receiving Tony Awards for Best Scenic Design and Best Lighting Design. The Pulitzer Prize for Drama followed in 1985.
