Beanie Feldstein met Booksmart director Olivia Wilde at Anna Wintour’s house, during her annual Tony Awards party.
During a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Feldstein shared how she first encountered her eventual director after she screamed “Beanie!”—and the rest was history. Watch the clip above.
Feldstein had a big year in 2017, appearing alongside Bette Midler in Hello, Dolly! on Broadway and opposite Saoirse Ronan on screen in Lady Bird.
Booksmart, which marks Wilde's directorial debut, also features Lisa Kudrow, Billie Lourd, Jason Sudeikis, and recent Alice By Heart co-stars Noah Galvin and Molly Gordon.
