Hulu's upcoming romantic comedy Fire Island just released its first trailer. Inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, the movie is set to be released June 3 and stars stage actors Conrad Ricamora, Tomás Matos, and Nick Adams. Watch the full-length trailer above.
The flick follows two best friends who embark on a summer adventure with a larger ensemble of their friends. Alongside Ricamora, Matos, and Adams, the multi-cultural rom-com features an all-star cast including Joel Kim Booster, Bowen Yang, Margaret Cho, Torian Miller, and James Scully.
Known on screen for starring in the ABC drama How To Get Away With Murder, Ricamora has led numerous stage productions. He's currently playing Seymour Krelborn in the Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors, and has portrayed Xue Xing in Soft Power and Lun Tha in the Grammy nominated revival of The King and I.
Matos is currently appearing in Hadestown at the Walter Kerr Theatre as a swing, and beforehand, they starred in the original Broadway cast of Diana as a Royal Ballet Gala Dancer. Adams' theatre credits include the original Broadway cast of Priscilla Queen of the Dessert and the 2010 Tony Award-winning revival of La Cage aux Folles.
The movie is directed by Andrew Ahn with a script by Booster. It is executive produced by Booster and produced by Tony Hernandez, John Hodges, and Brooke Posch. Jullian Vogel and Johnny Holland are co-producers. It will stream exclusively to Hulu.
