Featuring a book by Schitt's Creek writer and Emmy winner David West Read and music from Grammy winner Max Martin, & Juliet irreverently considers a new story for Shakespeare's tragic heroine and lovestruck teenager Juliet in which she chooses to live after Romeo dies. The score features familiar pop songs from the last three decades, including “Since U Been Gone,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” “That’s The Way It Is,” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling."

The forthcoming Main Stem debut—previews will begin October 28 prior to an official opening November 17 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre—follows the work's sold-out North American premiere at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre, which began June 22 and closed August 14.

The principal cast from the Toronto run will continue with the production on Broadway. Joining West Side Story and Dear Evan Hansen alum Courtney will be U.K. original cast member Melanie La Barrie as Nurse, Tony winner Paulo Szot as Lance, Broadway veteran Betsy Wolfe as Anne Hathaway, Tony nominee Stark Sands as Shakespeare, Justin David Sullivan as May, Ben Jackson Walker as Romeo, and Philippe Arroyo as Francois.

Luke Sheppard will again be at the helm for the Broadway bow, reuniting his full West End creative team: choreographer Jennifer Weber, scenic designer Soutra Gilmour, costume designer Paloma Young, lighting designer Howard Hudson, sound designer Gareth Owen, video and projections designer Andrzej Goulding, and hair designer J. Jared Janas. Bill Sherman serves as musical supervisor, orchestrator, and arranger, with Dominic Fallacaro as music director. Casting is by Stephen Kopel and Carrie Gardner.

Martin also serves as producer alongside Tim Headington, Theresa Steele Page, Jenny Petersson, and Martin Dodd, with Eva Price serving as executive producer.
