In celebration of the upcoming 500th performance of Waitress, the Broadway musical will offer a one-day-only digital lottery for both the matinee and evening performances Wednesday, July 5.
The lottery will be open at BroadwayDirect.com from 8 AM–11 AM for the 2 PM matinee, and 11 AM–2 PM for the 7:30 PM evening performance. Winners will be notified within minutes after the entry period ends and will have 60 minutes to pay for tickets (up to two at $40 each) online. Winners will then be able to pick up tickets at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre box office 30 minutes before curtain. A photo ID is required.
Featuring a score by Tony and Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles, Waitress is based on the 2007 film of the same name and tells the story of a small-town diner employee who seeks to rebuild her life through baking creatively-titled pies—and a fling with a new-to-town doctor.
