When Joy Behar's evening of marriage-and-divorced-themed monologues, My First Ex-Husband, arrives in Boston, it will do so with many of the talented women who appeared in the recent Off-Broadway production.
Scheduled to play weekends only at The Huntington’s Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, the cast will include writer Behar as well as Veanne Cox, Judy Gold, Jackie Hoffman, and Tony winner Tonya Pinkins, who will perform on a rotating basis. Performances will begin September 12 and continue through September 28.

Produced by Caiola Productions and Cyrena Esposito, and directed by Randal Myler, the Boston engagement is part of the show's North American tour. No other tour dates have been announced.
The production was originally conceived by The View co-host Behar along with lead producers Rose Caiola and Esposito. Behar crafted the evening of monologues based on interviews with friends and colleagues who had navigated breakups.
My First Ex-Husband was first presented at Bay Street in August 2024 before opening the Off-Broadway MMAC Theatre in January 2025.
The Boston schedule follows: September 12-14 (Behar, Cox, Gold, Pinkins), September 19-21 (Cox, Gold, Hoffman, Pinkins), and September 26-28 (Behar, Cox, Gold, Pinkins).
