Broadway News Two-Time Tony Nominees Jennifer Simard and Adam Godley Join Cast of Once Upon a One More Time

Featuring the music of Grammy winner Britney Spears, the production will arrive on Broadway this May.

Further casting has been announced for new musical Once Upon a One More Time featuring music made famous by Grammy winner Britney Spears. Two-time Tony nominees Jennifer Simard (Company, Mean Girls) and Adam Godley (The Lehman TrilogyThe Great) have joined the upcoming Broadway production, set to begin previews May 13. Playing the Marquis Theatre, the jukebox musical will open June 22.

Simard will star as The Stepmother while Godley will take on the role of The Narrator. They join the previously announced cast of Briga Heelan (Great News, Ground Floor) as Cinderella, Justin Guarini (American Idol, Wicked) as Prince Charming, and Aisha Jackson (Frozen, Paradise Square) as Snow White. Heelan, Guarini, and Jackson reprise their roles from the show's 2021 world premiere. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.

Once Upon a One More Time features an original story by Jon Hartmere (bare, The Upside) in an update of classic fairytale characters. Cinderella, Snow White, Little Mermaid, and more form a book club, but when a rogue fairy godmother grants their wish for a new story, they get something unexpected: The Feminine Mystique. The musical comedy features hit songs by popstar Britney Spears such as "Oops I Did It Again," "Lucky," "Circus," and "Toxic."

Keone and Mari Madrid (Beyond Babel, Karate Kid) helm the creative team, which also includes creative consultant and Tony nominee  David Leveaux, Tony-nominated scenic designer Anna Fleischle, costume designer Loren Elstein, Tony-winning lighting designer Kenneth Posner, sound designer Andrew Keister, Tony-nominated projection designer Sven Ortel, and Dram Desk-nominated wig designer Nikiya Mathis. Casting is by Hardt Casting.
