The limited return engagement of the 2022 Best Revival Tony winner, Take Me Outends its run February 5. The Richard Greenberg began performances October 27, 2022 at the Schoenfeld Theatre following its initial run in the spring at Second Stage.

The cast includes Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who won a 2022 Best Featured Actor Tony for his role, and Jesse Williams and Michael Oberholtzer, both Tony-nominated, along with Bill HeckJulian Cihi, Hiram Delgado, Brandon J. Dirden, Carl Lundstedt, Ken Marks, Eduardo Ramos, and Tyler Lansing Weaks. Understudies for the return engagement include Michael Castillejos, Lance Takeshi, Stephen Wattrus, and Tim Wright.

The play centers on baseball star Darren Lemming, center fielder for the Empires, who comes out of the closet, revealing a tradition of long-held unspoken prejudices off the field. Take Me Out premiered on Broadway in 2003, winning the Best Play Tony Award.

Scott Ellis directed the production for both the 2022 revival run and the fall return, with his creative team including scenic designer David Rockwell, costume designer Linda Cho, lighting designer Kenneth Posner, and sound designer Bray Poor. Casting is by Jim Carnahan. The encore run is produced by Barry and Fran Weissler.
