Off-Broadway News The Bengsons' The Keep Going Songs Will Get a World Premiere Off-Broadway via LCT3

Caitlin Sullivan is directing the new work, described as "part concert, part wake, part theatrical extravaganza."

Lincoln Center Theater/LCT3 will give a world premiere run to The Keep Going Songs, a new piece by singer-songwriting duo The Bengsons. Performances will begin April 20 at the Claire Tow Theater, with opening night set for May 2. The limited engagement will continue through May 26.

Both Abigail and Shaun Bengson will perform the new group of songs, which explore grief and rebirth. Press notes describe the show as "part concert, part wake, [and] part theatrical extravaganza."

Caitlin Sullivan (Verité) is directing the production, which will feature scenic design by Cate McCrea, costume design by Hahnji Jang, lighting design by Alejandro Fajardo, and sound design by Nick Kourtides. Kristy Bodall will be stage manager.

The Bengsons' theatrical work includes Sovereignty HymnsMy Joy Is HeavyHundred DaysThe Lucky OnesWhere the Mountain Meets the SeaAnything That Gives Off LightYou'll Still Call Me By My Name, and Iphigenia in Aulis.

ASL interpretation will be offered at performances May 9 and 18, captioned performances May 11 and 16, and mandatory masked performances May 5 and 23.
