Lili / Darwin, a new solo play written and performed by Darwin Del Fabro, will play a 12-performance limited run Off-Broadway at The Tank August 2-23, directed by Tank Artistic Director Meghan Finn.

The work explores the intertwining journeys of trans writer-performer-producer Del Fabro and Lili Elbe, a trans artist who previously served as the inspiration behind the 2015 film The Danish Girl. Press notes describe the piece as "genre-defying," featuring voice, projection, and powerful language.

“I’ve always written to survive, to see myself clearly," says Del Fabro in a statement. “Lili / Darwin is the most personal work I’ve ever brought to the stage. It’s not just a play—it’s a reintroduction to myself, and an homage to the woman who helped me find the courage to begin.”

Tickets are available at LiliDarwin.com.
