It's finally coming. Six: The Musical will be dropping a long-awaited original Broadway cast recording, but with a twist. Listeners will hear the queens as they sang live on the Broadway show's October 3 opening night. It will be available to stream beginning May 6 on all streaming and digital platforms.

This album, which will feature 18 tracks, marks the first Original Broadway Cast Recording recorded live on opening night. The Broadway production teased fans via social media April 29 with the news to the delight of Six fans everywhere. SIX: Live on Opening Night is produced by Paul Gatehouse, Toby Marlow, Lucy Moss, Sam Featherstone, and Tom Curran.

“After two and half long years, it is a dream come true to release SIX’s Broadway cast recording, which was captured live on a night that ignited the Broadway community at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre," the producers of SIX said in a statement. "The applause and cheers of the 1,069+ people in the audience that night can all be heard on this historic collection. As we listen, sing, and dance along to the gorgeous voices of the original Broadway cast, we are transported back to that magical night when we finally got to say ‘Happy Opening!’”

A release date for physical formats such as CD and vinyl will be announced at a later date.

Starring in the original cast was Adrianna Hicks as Catherine of Aragon, Andrea Macasaet as Anne Boleyn, Abby Mueller as Jane Seymour, Brittney Mack as Anna of Cleves, Samantha Pauly as Katherine Howard, and Anna Uzele as Catherine Parr. Hicks, Macasaet, Mack, and Paul continue to play the roles they originated on Broadway with newcomers Keri René Fuller and Joy Woods as Jane Seymour and Catherine Parr, respectively.
