Casting is now complete for Eric Roth's new stage adaptation of the Academy Award-nominated 1952 film High Noon, which will make its world premiere this winter at London's Harold Pinter Theatre.

Directed by Olivier winner Thea Sharrock, performances of the thriller, told in real time, will begin December 17 for a limited engagement through March 7, 2026.

As previously reported, Emmy and Tony winner Billy Crudup will star as Will Kane with Olivier winner Denise Gough as Amy Fowler.

The two artists will be joined by the newly announced Billy Howle, Rosa Salazar, Simon Chandler, James Doherty, Misha Handley, Joshua Hill, Jonah Russell, Rebecca Lee, and Tim Steed.

The adaptation of the Carl Foreman screenplay is set in the American West of the 1800s, and at its heart is the bond between Will Kane and Amy Fowler, a love tested by impossible choices as the clock ticks down to the return of deadly outlaw Frank Miller on the high noon train.

Producer Paula Wagner said in an earlier statement, "There’s no one better than Eric Roth to reimagine High Noon for the stage. His debut as a playwright feels both thrilling and inevitable. With Thea Sharrock’s inspired direction and the incredible talents of Billy Crudup and Denise Gough, High Noon will bring the urgency and heart of the classic film to audiences in a way that feels both timeless and powerfully alive today.”

Crudup won a Tony for his work in The Coast of Utopia. He also received Tony nominations for his roles in The Elephant Man, The Pillowman, and Arcadia. His numerous screen credits include The Morning Show (two Emmy Awards), Alien: Covenant, Jackie, Justice League, 20th Century Women, Spotlight, Almost Famous, and more. He recently reprised his role in the solo play Harry Clarke at the Ambassadors Theatre in the West End, earning an Olivier nomination for Best Actor.

Gough was most recently seen in the West End reprising her Olivier-winning role of Emma in People, Places & Things at the Trafalgar. She was also seen in both the London and Broadway revivals of Angels in America, earning a Tony nomination and and Olivier Award. Among her screen credits are Andor, Under the Banner of Heaven, The Fall of Apple Tree Yard, Too Close, The Other Lamb, Colette, The Kid Who Would Be King, Juliet Naked, Robin Hood, and more.

High Noon will also have set and costume design by Tim Hatley, lighting design by Neil Austin, sound design by Nick Lidster, choreography and movement direction by Lizzi Gee, and fight direction by Kate Waters. The composer and music producer is Chris Egan, the casting director is Jina Jay, and the general manager is Short Street Productions Ltd.

The forthcoming production will mark Oscar winner Roth's (Forrest Gump, A Star Is Born, Dune) debut work for the stage. Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly starred in the original film, with Cooper winning a 1953 Oscar for his performance.

Paula Wagner and Tom Werner are producing, along with Thomas Tull. The executive producer is Mark Rubinstein.
