The cast of the new Broadway musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were guests on ABC’s Good Morning America May 10 to perform a medley of “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket” and “It Must Be Believed to Be Seen” from the show. Watch the performance below:
Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory began performances March 28 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre ahead of an official opening April 23. Click here for tickets.
The production is led by two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle in the role of Willy Wonka. Alternating in the role of young Charlie are Jake Ryan Flynn, Ryan Foust, and Ryan Sell, each making their Broadway debuts.
Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, the musical features music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Shaiman, a book by David Greig, and choreography by Joshua Bergasse. The production includes additional songs by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley from the 1971 Warner Bros. film.
