Rob Madge's autobiographical show My Son's a Queer, (But What Can You Do?) began its West End run October 21. The show transferred to Garrick Theatre for a run through November 6. See photos from the production below.
Beginning with Madge at age 12 as they attempt to create a full scale Disney parade in their house for their grandmother, My Son's a Queer tells the story of raising a queer child with all of its joys and chaos. It originally premiered at Off-West End's The Turbine Theatre in 2021 where it sold out, subsequently transferring to Edinburgh Fringe for another sold-out run.
Director Luke Sheppard (& Juliet, In the Heights) helms the creative team comprising composer Pippa Cleary, orchestrator Simon Nathan, designer Ryan Dawson Laight, mixer Chris Fry, projection designer George Reeve, and video engineer Neil McDowell Smith.
