The two-time Tony winner returns to the Sondheim revival after sitting a week out due to COVID-19.

Patti LuPone returned to Broadway's current revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company March 8 after missing 10 performances due to a bout of COVID-19. Cameras were on hand to catch the Tony winner's first curtain call back on the boards, along with a brief post-show interview. Watch the footage above.

LuPone reportedly stopped the show multiple times her first night back, at both her first entrance and after her performance of the show's iconic 11-o-clock number, "The Ladies Who Lunch," both of which received mid-show standing ovations.

Following the performance, the Evita star reported that she was "still foggy from COVID," but ultimately that she was pleased to be back on stage. "It felt great. It's where I belong, so it felt good to be back."

Director Marianne Elliott’s gender-swapped version of Company opened at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre December 9, 2021. LuPone stars alongside fellow Tony winner Katrina Lenk, who takes on the central role of bachelorette Bobbie (in the original, bachelor Bobby). They are joined by Matt Doyle as Jamie, Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald as David, Tony nominee Christopher Sieber as Harry, Tony nominee Jennifer Simard as Sarah, Terence Archie as Larry, Etai Benson as Paul, Nikki Renée Daniels as Jenny, Claybourne Elder as Andy, Greg Hildreth as Peter, Rashidra Scott as Susan, Bobby Conte as P.J., and Manu Narayan as Theo.

Rounding out the company are Kathryn Allison, Britney Coleman, Jacob Dickey, Javier Ignacio, Anisha Nagarajan, Nicholas Rodriguez, Heath Saunders, Tally Sessions, and Matt Wall.

The production also features choreography by Liam Steel, sets and costumes by Bunny Christie, lighting by Neil Austin, sound design by Ian Dickinson of Autograph, and illusions by Chris Fisher. Joel Fram serves as music supervisor and director, with orchestrations by David Cullen and dance arrangements by Sam Davis. Casting is by Cindy Tolan.
