NYMF and the Artists WithOut Limits Theatre Project co-present the project that aligns emerging theatre writers with directors, musical directors and a cast of ten. Eight writers and eight composers will work over a period of ten days to create eight new musicals.

David Alpert and Andrew Volkoff will direct the musicals that will be presented at the American Theatre of Actors Oct. 4 (at 7 PM and 9:30 PM) and Oct. 5 (at 7 PM and 9:30 PM).

The cast will feature Sally Wilfert (See Rock City…, Assassins, The Mistress Cycle), Sydney James Harcourt (American Idiot, The Lion King), Leah Horowitz (Les Miserables, White Christmas, Thoroughly Modern Millie), Caesar Samayoa (Hot Feet), Sue Mathys (Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd), Brian Bailey, Rheaume Crenshaw, Millie Ledbetter, Kevin Loreque and Seph Stanek.

Composers participating include Christopher Cooley, Mat Eisenstein, B.J. Gandolfo, Kathryn Hathaway, Sooyeon Kim, Amanda Louise Miller, Tyler Phillips and Benjamin Velez. The writers are Chapadjiev, Clare Drobot, Greg Edwards, Laura Marks, Jerome A. Parker, Michael Scheman, Tom Stuart and Pia Wilson.

8Minute Musicals will have musical direction by John Bell and Andy Roninson, and lighting design by Izzy Einsidler.
