The Bourbon Room will be open for business on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles when Rock of Ages returns to its roots this fall, beginning performances September 10 for an open-ended run.
Each night, The Bourbon Room will come to life as the '80s rock band musical is set to fold in the audience with the show. With food and beverage design by Todd English, audiences will be fully immersed as they enjoy upscale culinary options.
Chris D'Arienzo's original book will be directed by Kristin Hanggi (Accidentally Brave) and choreographed by Kelly Devine (Come From Away) with set design by Beowulf Boritt (Be More Chill) and Jo Winiarski (Accidentally Brave). Dave Gibbs (Rock of Ages) will serve as music supervisor for the production. The original team is also bringing the show back to its original Off-Broadway theatre, New World Stages, for a 10th anniversary run beginning June 19.
Casting has yet to be announced. The production will be mounted by Matthew Weaver, Hillary Janet Billig Rich, Stacey Sher, and Kerry Brown, in participation We Are Hear. Doug Deluca and Bill Bodnar will serve as executive producers.
