Billy Crudup as Harry Clarke Carol Rosegg

The Vineyard Theatre celebrated the official opening of David Cale’s Harry Clarke November 21, a new solo play performed by Tony-winning actor Billy Crudup with direction by Leigh Silverman. Following positive reviews from critics, the world-premiere production has been extended a second time through December 17.

In Harry Clarke, Crudup stars as a shy, Midwestern man masquerading as a highbrow Londoner in New York City. As he charms his way into a wealthy family’s life, his increasingly risky and dangerous behavior threatens to unravel his persona.
