Matthew Broderick and Alice Eve Prepare for a "Dirty Weekend" at Special Screening of New Neil LaBute Film
A special evening with LaBute and the cast was presented by Entertainment One Ltd. and The Friars Club on August 26. The film is scheduled to open in cinemas and via Video on Demand on Sept. 4.
Broderick (The Producers, Nice Work If You Can Get It, It's Only a Play) will co-star with Eve (Rock n Roll) in the film about a businessman (Broderick) who ends up in a city where, a year before, he had an unexpected drunken encounter that has haunted him ever since. With the aid of a co-worker (Eve), he attempts to figure out the details of the night.
LaBute's plays include Reasons to Be Pretty, Reasons to Be Happy, The Shape of Things, The Break of Noon, Fat Pig and The Mercy Seat, among others.
Next year, Carnegie Hall's house band will perform Bernstein’s “Kaddish” Symphony, unfinished works by Schubert, and the final concert of Conductor Bernard Labadie.
