What Became of Us is wrapping up its run June 29 and the production has released photos of current stars Tony winner Tony Shalhoub and Emmy winner Shohreh Aghdashloo. In the two-hander play by Shayan Lofti, the actors play two siblings, "one born there [and] one born here," according to press notes. The play examines how they maintain their connections to the old country, to this country, and to each other.
The play began its run May 17, with Rosalind Chao and BD Wong. Then, in accordance with the playwright's vision, the cast switched out halfway in the play's run. Read the reviews from Chao's and Wong's run here. See photos of Shalhoub and Aghdashloo below.

Surrounded by period-accurate, 19th-century holiday decorations lit via candlelight, the 70-minute production is based on Dickens' own script of the classic.
The play comes on the heels of a broader cultural conversation about Dahl's work and the prejudice that was embedded in many of his most beloved stories.
