The Tony Awards have been nominated for a Webby Award—yes, you read that right; theatre's top honors could receive its own honor this year! Nominated in the "Interview, Talk & After-Show," voting is now open for the annual awards honoring excellence on the internet.
Presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), this year's Webby Awards will be held April 21 at Cipriani Wall Street. Voting will be held through April 16.
The 2025 Tony Awards were specifically nominated for the "First Impressions Cam," presented by City National Bank, which had host (and Tony winner) Bonnie Milligan interview Tony winners directly after their acceptance speeches. The video series is available online through the official Tony Awards YouTube channel.
Also nominated in the category are the Jimmy Kimmel YouTube Channel, The WNET Group's ALL ARTS The Darkroom MCs, Scrambled With Gordon Ramsay, and Spike Lee Celebrates the Enduring Legacy of Malcolm X.
