Two-time Tony and six-time Emmy winner John Lithgow directs the world premiere of Everything's Fine, written by and starring Oscar nominee Douglas McGrath. Previews for the autobiographical solo show began September 28 at Off-Broadway's DR2 Theatre. Opening is set for October 13.
Everything’s Fine recounts McGrath’s life as a 14-year-old in Midland, Texas. He shares remembrances of the courtship of his one-eyed father and his mother, who worked at Harper’s Bazaar for Diana Vreeland and became pals with Andy Warhol; and an eighth-grade teacher who would change his life.
The production has a set design by two-time Tony winner John Lee Beatty, costume design by Tony winner Linda Cho, lighting design by Caitlin Smith Rapoport, and sound design by Emma Wilk. The production stage manager is Amy Rauchwerger.
Tony winner Daryl Roth and Emmy winner Tom Werner produce.
