Bud and Doug have written a musical and they need Broadway producers. But Bud and Doug don't have a lot of experience with business of Broadway. When they stage the backers' reading of their new show about Johannes Gutenberg, instead of hiring actors, they play all the parts themselves, aided by a table full of caps with the musical's characters' names emblazoned upon them.

That's the plot of Gutenberg! The Musical, which makes its Broadway premiere September 15 at the James Earl Jones Theatre. Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells play the hapless playmakers in the musical by Scott Brown and Anthony King

It looks like things are getting a little wacky in the rehearsal room, as Gad and Rannells (or is it Bud and Doug?) wear a few different hats, recreating some pretty iconic Broadway duos. Take a look through the gallery below to see the pair as the Phantom and Christine, Mark and Roger, Sweeney and Lovett, and more.
