The world premiere of Laurence Fishburne's Like They Do in the Movies is underway, and now we have production shots!
Written and performed by Fishburne, with direction by Leonard Foglia, the solo show plays the Perelman Performing Arts Center at the World Trade Center site. Having begun previews March 10, the production will officially open March 21, and run through March 31.
Described by Fishburne as “the stories and lies people have told me. And that I have told myself,” the production is the second solo show collaboration between Fishburne and Foglia, having previously collaborated on the Broadway run of Thurgood.
In addition to Foglia, the creative team for the production features scenic designer Neil Patel, lighting designer Tyler Micoleau, sound designer Justin Ellington, and production designer Elaine J. McCarthy, with Devin Day serving as Production Stage Manager.
