Emily Schwend was honored as the 2016 Yale Drama Series Award winner with a ceremony and reading of her play Utility, at the Claire Tow Theater November 1. The award is given to an emerging playwright by the Yale Drama Series Judges Ayad Akhtar, John Guare, Marsha Norman, and Nicholas Wright.
