Chelsea Clinton visited Sean Daniels' autobiographical comedy The White Chip Off-Broadway February 22. See the visit in the gallery below.

The work is currently playing an Off-Broadway encore run at the Susan & Ronald Frankel Theater in The Robert W. Wilson MCC Theater Space, where it opened February 1 after beginning previews January 22. The run will continue through March 9. Though performing at MCC's venue, the revival is not an MCC production.

Joe Tapper is reprising his performance as Steven from the work's 2019 run at 59E59 Theaters, with director Sheryl Kaller also back to helm. Also starring are Crystal Dickinson (Clybourne Park) and Jason Tam (A Chorus Line).

The work centers on Steven, on top of the world and steps away from his dream job running one of the most exciting theatres in the country but also an alcoholic spinning out of control. White Chip follows his life from first sip to first love and all the way to rock bottom, where he begins his wild journey to recovery.

Kaller has reunited much of her creative team from the 2019 run, including scenic designer Lawrence E. Moten III and sound designer Leon Rothenberg, newly joined by costume designer Devario Simmons and lighting designer Abigail Hoke-Brady. Elizabeth Allen is stage manager, with Bethany Stewart serving as production manager. Casting is by Stephanie Yankwitt and Margaret Dunn of tbd casting co.

The production features an A-list team of producers, including John Larroquette, recently departed Sweeney Todd star (and Tapper's wife) Annaleigh Ashford, Hank Azaria, Jason Biggs, recovery activist and writer Ryan Hampton, The Recovery Project, John Beyer, Nick Mills, Barbara Manocherian, Shannyn Lambert, Daryl Roth, Jayne Baron Sherman, Ashley Melone, Susan Edelstein, Jacob Soroken Porter, and Beth Rosner.
