November 9 was opening night for Broadway's The Queen of Versailles at the St. James, and it was an uncommonly star-studded affair!
There to cheer on songwriter Stephen Schwartz, book writer Lindsey Ferrentino, and star-producer Kristin Chenoweth were a cavalcade of notables from Hollywood, Broadway, and beyond, including Chenoweth's Wicked co-star, Idina Menzel; vocalists Trisha Yearwood, Sam Smith, and Sara Bareilles; and Broadway favorites Jason Robert Brown, Wesley Taylor, Andy Mientus, Jay Armstrong Johnson, Neil Patrick Harris, Annaleigh Ashford, Helen J Shen, Kelli O'Hara, Nikki M. James, Victoria Clark, and lots more.
Things also got meta as the real-life figures behind the show—including titular Queen of Versailles herself, Jackie Siegel—were also on hand. Take a look in the gallery below.

Read what critics are saying about the new musical, Schwartz's first on Broadway since Wicked more than 20 years ago, here.
The work, which made its world premiere at Boston's Emerson Colonial last year, is adapted from Lauren Greenfield's 2012 documentary of the same name.
Co-producing and starring in the new work is Schwartz' original Wicked star, Tony winner Chenoweth, playing the titular role of Jackie Siegel opposite Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham as David Siegel. The work follows the couple's endeavor to build the largest private home in the country in Orlando, Florida, only for the 2008 recession to dampen their dreams and lavish lifestyle. Two-time Tony winner Michael Arden is at the helm.
