Treat Table Fueling Station! Caffeine and Sugar! Notice Kristin's delicious cake and fake sugar bacon. We made quick work of that one...

Getting into character... it involves many hot rollers.

Cast member, Gary Carlson, at the callboard! It's a Friday night, which means an 8:30 curtain!

Ensemble member, Jill Sesso, has a bit of a crush on Aaron Tveit... what a lovely shrine!

It's run crew member Michelle Jordan's birthday! We're so lucky that Kristin Ligeski, our wardrobe supervisor, is also a baker extraordinaire!

Cast members, Larry Adams, Gary Carlson, Amy Orman, Rachel Klippel and Christine Sherrill gather to sing Happy Birthday. "Michelle, you have a phone call..."

Two Music Gods: Conductor Ben Johnson and Arranger/Trumpet Player Carey Stedman represent our amazing orchestra. Not an easy score and they totally rock it!

Andy Lupp (Manfred/Ensemble) in his preshow ritual. At places, he knocks on all the dressing room doors and tells us to "Break Legs!" Usually in a silly voice and sometimes while flashing our lights on and off. He keeps us guessing.

I visit the boys dressing room before we head onstage to Schwab's Drugstore. Ensemble boys Will Skrip and William Carlos Angulo let me pose with them even though I'm not wearing cute glasses.
Adrian Aguilar (Artie Green) enjoys some cake. He also enjoys a cake track, only appearing onstage for 14 minutes 50 seconds (we timed it), and never in the second act. But it's definitely the best 14 minutes and 50 seconds of the play.

Jonathan Weir (Cecille B. Demille) is still trying to memorize his lines.

Wig maven and fight choreographer Amber Wuttke helps me get my hair did for Artie Green's New Year's Eve party.

Ladies of the ensemble (Rachel Klippel, Amy Brophy, Amy Orman, Sarah Page, Ariane Dolan, Jill Sesso) pre partying in the dressing room before we head onstage to the NYE bash. We are a wild bunch.

Will Ray (Joe Gillis) does his best William Holden impression as he heads down to the pit to enter from the trap for the title song.

I visit the boys again during intermission. That's Rod Thomas (Sheldrake). You'll have to take my word for it.
Dara Cameron
Christine Sherrill (Norma Desmond) hides in the shower during intermission so she doesn't have to do the second act. We find her.

Paula Scrofano (Edith Head/Ensemble) poses with a picture of Edith Head. Uncanny.

Cory Goodrich (Astrologer/Ensemble) peers into her modern day crystal ball....

Anne Quiaoit (wardrobe gal/quick change virtuoso) helps me tie my bow during a quick change. She ties my bow for me because I never learned how.

I catch Will after his fall into the swimming pool (aka the pit). Well, a big crash pad catches him.

Don Richard (Max) and I cheer for another great show! Four more to go this weekend :)

Christine unwinds with a nightcap at the hotel bar. She definitely deserves it.
Dara Cameron
I deserve it a little less, but keep her company. Thanks, Playbill.com!
Sunset Boulevard, based on the 1950 Billy Wilder film about a desperate screenwriter's encounter with a reclusive, deluded, aging silent-movie star, is directed by William Osetek.
The new Oakbrook Terrace, IL, production also features Will Ray as hungry screenwriter Joe Gillis, Don Richard (national tours of Sunset Boulevard and Wicked) as Max; Jonathan Weir (Candide and A Christmas Carol at The Goodman Theatre) as Demille; Dara Cameron (Hero at Marriott Theatre) as Betty Schaeffer; Adrian Aguilar (Follies at Chicago Shakespeare) as Artie; and David Kortemeier (Gypsy and Spamalot at Drury Lane Theatre) as Hog Eye. The ensemble includes Larry Adams, William Carlos Angulo, Amy Brophy, Gary Carlson, Devin DeSantis, Ariane Dolan, Cory Goodrich, Rachel Klippel, Andrew Lupp, Alex McCrary, Alex Newkirk, Amy Orman, Sarah Page, Paula Scrofano, Jill Sesso and Will Skrip.
Jeff Award winner Roberta Duchak (Xanadu, The Sound of Music, Sweeney Todd, Ragtime and Spamalot at Drury Lane Theatre) is musical director.
Jeff Award winner Tammy Mader (Hairspray at Drury Lane Theatre) choreographs. The creative team also includes set designer Scott Davis; lighting designer Rita Pietraszek; sound designer Ray Nardelli; and costume designer Theresa Hamm.
