27. Finger puppet of Quasi made by my dear friend Nicola. He was made in London and traveled all the way to Paper Mill to ring the bells. He’s wondering if winter will ever end.
Michael Arden
Daily warm up song. My girl, Sia, really helps. I imagine swimming from bells as opposed to the chandelier.

Dad making sure he doesn’t have bad breath when kissing Esmeralda. I keep telling him, this isn’t historically accurate, but he insists on being a gentleman.

Post matinee, it’s very important when playing a Hunchback to get some Physical Therapy. Sigrid sets me right.

Ciara Renee doesn’t want to have to be burned alive AGAIN today. But she must.
Scott Schwartz directs a cast that includes Michael Arden (Big River, The Times They Are A-Changin’) as Quasimodo, Patrick Page (The Lion King, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark) as Dom Claude Frollo, Ciara Renée (Pippin, Big Fish) as Esmeralda, Andrew Samonsky (Little Miss Sunshine, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) as Captain Phoebus de Martin and Erik Liberman (Lovemusik) as Clopin Trouillefou.
At each performance, 32 local choir members from the Continuo Arts Symphonic Chorus serve as the onstage choral ensemble.
"We’re thrilled to present the U.S. premiere of this epic musical with the support once again of Disney Theatrical Productions," Mark S. Hoebee, producing artistic director for the Millburn theatre, said in a previous statement. "The score and the cast are magnificent and our audiences will get to experience an unprecedented 50 voices singing this beautiful music. We are excited to welcome two musical theater legends back to Paper Mill Playhouse, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz."
Tickets may be purchased by calling (973) 376-4343, at the Paper Mill Playhouse Box Office at 22 Brookside Drive in Millburn or online at PaperMill.org.
