Film & TV News PBS Sets Premiere Date for Broadway's Leading Ladies Concert

A host of Broadway's best performed at the filmed NYC concert in March.

PBS will premiere Broadway's Leading Ladies, an all-star concert filmed at NYC's The Town Hall in March, beginning November 28. The special will air on local PBS stations (check local listings) and stream via PBS Passport.

Two-time Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth hosted the one-night-only event with original Broadway A Chorus Line cast members Baayork Lee, Kelly Bishop, and Priscilla Lopez serving as presenters. Performers included Tony winners LaChanze, Jennifer Holliday, Lindsay Mendez, and Jessie Mueller; Tony nominees Kate Baldwin, Judy Kuhn, Jennifer Simard, and Amber Iman; plus Mandy Gonzalez, Solea Pfeiffer, Adrianna Hicks, Helen J Shen, and McKenzie Kurtz.

The performers are backed by the American Pops Orchestra, conducted by Luke Frazier.

PBS, in partnership with No Guarantees and Nouveau Productions, produced the concert. A portion of the ticket proceeds benefited the Women’s Health Initiative at the Entertainment Community Fund, founded by the late Phyllis Newman.
