News Patrick Mulvey Will Succeed Will Chase In Broadway's Billy Elliot Patrick Mulvey, who was the original Tony in the Chicago production of Billy Elliot the Musical, will step into that role in the Broadway production of the Tony-winning musical beginning July 15 at the Imperial Theatre.

Mulvey, who is coming to the Broadway company directly from the Toronto production of Billy Elliot, succeeds Will Chase, who will play his final performance July 10 at 7:30 PM.

The cast of the hit musical  also currently features Emily Skinner (Mrs. Wilkinson), Tony Award winner Gregory Jbara (Dad), Tony nominee Carole Shelley (Grandma), Neil McCaffrey and Cameron Clifford (Michael) and Giuseppe Bausilio, Tade Biesinger, Jacob Clemente, Joseph Harrington, and Peter Mazurowski, who rotate in the role of Billy.

Billy Elliot the Musical, according to press notes, is the "joyous celebration of one boy’s journey to make his dreams come true. Set in a small town, the story follows Billy as he stumbles out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class, discovering a surprising talent that inspires his family and his whole community and changes his life forever."

The musical features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, choreography by Peter Darling and direction by Stephen Daldry.
