Daniel Reichard, who created the role of Bob Gaudio in the original Broadway cast of Jersey Boys, will offer his annual holiday show December 17 at 8 PM at The Cutting Room in Manhattan.
The evening, marking Reichard's 16th holiday concert, is titled Ready for Christmas and will include highlights from previous editions of the actor's holiday shows. Jesse Vargas, who orchestrated and arranged Reichard’s holiday EP, Under the Mistletoe, will serve as musical director and conductor.
In a statement Reichard said, “The holiday season is like tax season. It’s going to happen whether you like it or not, so you might as well be ready. And have some fun. Truly, I love this time of year, and I’m glad that I’ve kept the tradition of doing this Christmas show alive. People can get together, hear these classic songs accompanied by a fabulous band, forget their worries, and celebrate life.”
Reichard made his New York debut in Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration and then played Keith Haring in the Public Theater's Radiant Baby. He appeared Off-Broadway in The Thing About Men and played the title role in the New York City Opera mounting of Leonard Bernstein's Candide. Reichard has also toured concert halls across North America with his fellow Jersey Boys alumni in The Midtown Men.
