Hulu's Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for a sixth season, which will include 10 episodes.

The NYC-set whodunnit series has been a favorite among Broadway fans thanks to much of the cast being stage notables—including Steve Martin, Martin Short, Nathan Lane, Richard Kind, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Michael Cyril Creighton, and more. But this next season will be the series' first to film overseas, taking its intrepid true crime podcasters from Manhattan's Arconia to London. Does that mean we can expect a guest star roster of West End favorites this time around? Only time will tell.

The news comes as the final episode of the series' fifth season debuts on Hulu October 28. Launching in 2021, the series follows three amateur murder sleuths-turned-podcasters (Martin, Short, and Selena Gomez) as they investigate deaths in their Upper West Side apartment building. The show has been an Emmy-winning success, winning Broadway songwriters Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Marc Shaiman, and Scott Wittman a 2024 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics ("Which of the Pickwick Triplets Did It," a song written for a fictitious Broadway musical being produced in the show's third season), and an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy for season one guest star Nathan Lane, among other wins. This most recent season tracked the mysterious murder of beloved Arconia doorman Lester.

Martin and John Hoffman are co-creators of the series, and executive produce with Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin. According to reporting in Variety, the series is Hulu’s most-watched original comedy series to date.
