Playwrights Horizons has extended the run of Jen Tullock and Frank Winters' Nothing Can Take You From the Hand of God, currently in previews and opening October 13. The Off-Broadway company has added two weeks to the run, which will now continue through November 9 in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater. Jared Mezzocchi is directing.
Tullock (Severance) also stars in the solo work, about an author who releases a book about growing up gay in the Evangelical South and the woman who claims that the book's stories of their affair are false. The performance sees Tullock playing many characters using multiple cameras and a live looping system.
The production features scenic design by Emmie Finckel, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker, sound design by Evdoxia Ragkou, and projection and video design by Stefania Bulbarella. Jenny Kenney is production stage manager.
Tickets are at PlaywrightsHorizons.org.
